COE Presents First TRIO Family Achievement Award

On Saturday, September 15, 2018, the Council for Opportunity in Education presented actress Viola Davis and her family with the first TRIO Family Achievement Award during their 37th Annual Conference in New York City. All four sisters participated in Upward Bound and several went on to participate in Student Support Services as well. During the awards dinner, family members reflected on the impact of the TRIO programs on their lives. All of the Davis sisters' remarks are available here.
