ABOUT COE
We are the only national organization dedicated to furthering the expansion of postsecondary opportunities for low-income and first-generation students and individuals with disabilities.
COE’s work and advocacy has changed the trajectory of millions of students’ lives, impacting the U.S. workforce and economy for generations. Many alumni of our programs have proceeded to become prominent leaders and public figures, including U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock, award-winning actress and author Viola Davis, U.S. Congresswoman Nikema Williams, ABC news correspondent John Quiñones, and former NASA Astronaut Jose Hernandez. COE works with over 1,000 colleges, universities, and agencies that host college access and success programs that help students overcome academic, economic, and social challenges and other such barriers to college completion.
More than 6 million students have graduated from college from TRIO programs—federally funded access and success programs:
- Talent Search
- Upward Bound
- Upward Bound Math-Science
- Veterans Upward Bound
- Student Support Services
- Educational Opportunity Centers
- Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program
An estimated 800,000 low-income students and students with disabilities each year receive tutoring, counseling, mentoring, financial guidance, and other services as early as sixth grade through college graduation.
ABOUT COE’S ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Over 1,500 administrators, counselors, researchers, and educators involved with educational opportunity programs annually invest in their professional development by participating in the conference.
The Council for Opportunity in Education holds its annual conference in a major U.S. city. This year we anticipate a hybrid virtual and in-person event. Your investment in COE’s Annual Conference is an investment in America’s future. Your support allows COE to advocate for college access and success programs and draw attention to the challenges of first-generation and low-income students, students with disabilities, adult learners, and veterans attempting to prepare for, succeed in, and graduate from colleges nationwide.
We will work with you to design an experience that helps you meet your sponsorship goals and create a mutually beneficial event for our attendees and your company! In addition to the benefits below, sponsors will receive recognition on our website and in select social media. For more information about sponsorships, please contact Jennifer Wider at [email protected] or (202) 347-7430 ext. 387.
