COE will host an in-person McNair Proposal Writing Workshop (PWW) to assist participants in developing a competitive grant proposal. Through group exercises, thoughtful discussions, and guidance from experienced professionals, participants will receive in-depth support on critical sections of the proposal, along with helpful insights and strategies learned from previous competitions. Faculty will also address current considerations impacting the grant landscape and proposal development process.
As part of the workshop experience, participating programs will have the opportunity to submit up to three sections of their 2027 proposal for review by COE faculty and experienced practitioners. These critiques will take place during the week of July 27, 2026. Only programs that attend the workshop will be eligible to participate in the proposal review process.
The workshop begins Tuesday, July 21, at 12:00 p.m. PT with registration and concludes Wednesday, July 22, at 3:30 p.m. PT.
The McNair Proposal Writing Workshop will take place at UCLA. COE will share additional information soon regarding the workshop location on campus, along with details about a limited hotel room block.
