Emily Garcia serves as the Executive Assistant to the President in the Executive Office at the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE). In this role, she supports Kimberly Jones, the President of COE, by managing executive operations, coordinating communications, and ensuring smooth organizational workflow.
A native of Idaho, Emily is a TRIO Upward Bound alumna. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in History from Boise State University in May 2019 and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Idaho College of Law in May 2023. As the first in her family to graduate from college, Emily is deeply committed to equitable education.
With experience in legal and government work, Emily is passionate about public service and is excited to contribute to COE’s mission of ensuring equal access to higher education for all students.
