Angelica Vialpando is the Senior Vice-President of Program and Professional Development at the Council for Opportunity in Education. She works directly with the college access and retention community, helping them better understand the federal regulations that guide their programs and institutions. Additionally, she oversees all professional development hosted by COE, including annually organizing over 60 separate seminars, trainings, and webinars. Angelica has been a part of COE for over twenty years and is deeply committed to expanding college opportunities for low-income, first-generation students and students with disabilities. She has presented on various topics for COE, including Legislation, Regulations, Fiscal Accountability, TRIO Alumni Relations, Leadership, Advocacy 101, Using Data to Improve Your Program, and the Benefits of COE. Angelica is a proud graduate of the University of Wyoming, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She resides in College Park, Maryland, with her partner Alan, and their daughters, Vivien and Elise.
