Christian Bell serves as the Public Policy Associate at the Council for Opportunity in Education. In this role, he assists in the design and implementation of the Council’s government relations agenda and represents the Council’s interests on Capitol Hill, at the White House, the U.S. Department of Education, and other relevant agencies. Having worked in the U.S. House of Representatives for Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-AL-4) and in the U.S. Senate for Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), Christian brings a strong understanding of the legislative processes on Capitol Hill.
Prior to joining the Council, Christian served as a Policy Associate at Linchpin Strategies, a government affairs firm based in Washington, D.C., where he led efforts in child welfare, adoption, foster care, and early childhood education policy. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Christian honed his leadership and analytical skills while serving as an infantry reconnaissance scout and sniper team leader, overseeing sensitive operations and leading personnel to achieve high-level mission objectives. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology, graduating cum laude from Piedmont University in Georgia.
