Julie serves as the Program Specialist for the Program and Professional Development department. Proudly hailing from South Seattle, she is the daughter of Cambodian refugees. Julie identifies as a first-generation, low-income college graduate with a bachelor’s degree in American Ethnic Studies with a minor in education from the University of Washington. Additionally, she earned a Master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Julie is a three-time TRIO alumna, participating in the University of Washington’s Upward Bound, Student Support Services, and the Ronald E. McNair programs. Fueled by her background, Julie is passionately dedicated to enhancing postsecondary access, success, and graduation efforts for historically marginalized students.
