Terrance Hamm joined the Council for Opportunity in Education in 2020serves as the Associate Vice President for Communications and Marketing. His journey to this role began with impactful positions in renowned organizations, reflecting his dedication to improving the prospects of families and underserved populations. Before COE, Terrance led marketing and communications efforts at the National League of Cities, where he enhanced branding across program areas.
At Learning Heroes, he engaged over a million parents throughout the K-12 academic year, crafting communication plans, marketing strategies, and partner mini-grants. His transformative journey continued at Child Trends in 2014, where he orchestrated research-based social media campaigns and secured media coverage.
Terrance’s educational background includes a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Strategic Communications from Hampton University. In his current role at COE, he continues orchestrating impactful communications strategies that advance the organization’s mission and brand.
