This comprehensive online course features a variety of readings and case studies focused on first-generation college students. Participants will compare and contrast their practices with institutional advising services, becoming more aware of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by first-generation college students. By understanding first-generation college student characteristics, participants can enhance their advising practices and contribute to improving programmatic advising design and delivery at their institutions. The tutorial costs $450 for NACADA and COE members and $650 for non-members.
