As you know, the Senate Appropriations Committee has advanced legislation that would sustain current funding levels for TRIO in FY2026, the 2026-2027 program year. However, several steps remain before the final funding process is complete.

Additionally, we are hearing reports that the Department of Education will be delayed in issuing the remaining continuation award notifications. We know how critical these notices are, as this is when you should be recruiting and planning for the fall semester, which, in some cases, is just a few weeks away. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to do so without those notices.

This is a crucial moment for the TRIO community. Your voice—and your understanding of the landscape—matters now more than ever.
