Join COE and Thompson Coburn LLP for an important webinar discussing the recent updates from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) regarding minimum salary thresholds for exempt employees. Earlier this year, the DOL announced significant increases set to take effect starting July 1, 2024. The minimum salary threshold will rise to $43,888 annually, impacting the eligibility for overtime pay among affected employees.
Looking ahead, another proposed increase to $58,656 annually is slated for January 1, 2025, pending the outcome of current legal challenges in Texas. Despite these challenges, the rule will be enforced if legal proceedings prove unsuccessful or incomplete by the effective date.
This webinar, hosted by COE and its legal counsel, will discuss the details of the new regulations. Participants will gain insights into how these changes will impact their programs and learn of exemptions to this rule that they can explore with their institution. The webinar is free for COE members, and $350 for non-members. Join us today!
