The Council for Opportunity in Education Names Peter Mills Vice President of Public Policy
Mills arrives from the office of Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT), where he led the Senator’s education portfolio and helped negotiate billions of dollars in federal investments for schools, including funding secured through the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act and the American Rescue Plan. He also previously served as a Teach For America educator, directed GEAR UP initiatives, and advised the Louisiana Department of Education.
