Proposal Writing Workshop: Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math-Science

February 07 — 08, 2026

Atlanta

In-Person

Saturday, from 1:30 p.m., to Sunday, 5:15 p.m. ET

Join seasoned COE trainers for our first, in-person Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math/Science Proposal Writing Workshop. Using group exercises, thoughtful discussions, and experienced faculty, COE will assist participants in writing a competitive grant proposal that takes into account the prevailing circumstances. Critical areas of the proposal will be dissected and reviewed carefully with participants. Dedicated time will be spent reviewing helpful hints learned from past competitions and unfolding executive orders and Department of ED guidance documents.  As a part of this seminar, grantees will have the opportunity to submit their current or new Plan of Operation and Quality of Personnel sections (only) for discussion, feedback, and guidance from our faculty. Participants will receive an upload link the week prior to the seminar. To participate, please upload your materials by the deadline specified in the email. The first 40 proposals will be read onsite, while the remaining will be virtual the upcoming week. The program runs from Saturday, February 7, at 1:30 p.m., to Sunday, February 8, at 5:15 p.m. ET.
  • This UB & UBMS proposal writing workshop is exclusively for COE institutional members. If you see a registration fee, kindly contact Vanessa Ramirez at [email protected] to explore membership options. Don’t miss this valuable benefit! This workshop is for COE institutional members only!
