COE OPENING

Are you passionate about supporting underrepresented students as they pursue their career goals?

The Career Development Mentors (CDMs) will play a crucial role in the Council for Opportunity in Education’s Career Opportunities Initiative (COI), assisting low-income, first-generation students in achieving their career aspirations. They will provide personalized mentoring to assigned groups of 40-50 participants, offering guidance on career readiness, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies. CDMs will utilize a technology platform to facilitate interactions and track student progress, while also maintaining regular check-ins and monthly video calls to discuss career goals. Ideal candidates should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to engage with diverse student populations, and a passion for supporting underrepresented communities. The position is remote, running from June 3 to September 6, with an hourly rate of $25.
