The Council for Opportunity in Education Announces Academy Award-Winning Filmmaker Matthew A. Cherry as Keynote for its Annual Conference in New York City

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Council for Opportunity in Education (COE) proudly announces that Academy Award-winning filmmaker and former NFL wide receiver Matthew A. Cherry will be the keynote speaker at its annual conference. This highly anticipated event will occur on Sunday evening, September 8, in New York City.
Matthew A. Cherry, renowned for his Academy Award-winning short film “Hair Love,” has an inspiring journey from professional athlete to acclaimed filmmaker. He will share his story and insights with TRIO college access and success professionals, offering valuable lessons on perseverance, creativity, and the importance of representation in media.
